About The Limestone
The Region
Moca Cream is extracted in the area of Pé da Pedreira, Alcanede, in the heart of the Serra d’Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park, in the Santarém region of central Portugal, approximately 100 kilometres north of Lisbon.
This area is considered the main ornamental limestone quarrying centre in Portugal, where more than twenty quarrying companies operate. The protected landscape that surrounds the extraction zone is both a mark of the stone’s natural origin and a reminder of the responsibility to quarry in a sustainable way.

Moca Cream is Portugal’s most iconic limestone, chosen by architects and designers across five continents for its warm beige tone, distinctive parallel veining, and exceptional consistency at scale.
Description
Popular Selections
The Moca Cream is available in two main selections, each with its own character:
- Moca Cream Classic (Medium Grain), a slightly bolder grain with a warm beige tone and well-defined veining, widely used in exterior cladding and paving applications.
- Moca Cream Fine / Relvinha (Thin Grain), a finer, more delicate grain with a lighter, more uniform background. Particularly valued for interior applications, countertops, and refined architectural details.
Both selections are available in vein-cut and cross-cut orientations.
